getting started - the east valley
Numerous trails planning initiatives are underway for the Coachella Valley. CVCTA is working on developing an urban trail system to link the entire region, from Palm Springs to the Salton Sea. CVCTA’s initial focus is in the east Coachella Valley, where the opportunity exists to establish a community trails network in conjunction with on-going development. An East Valley Loop Trail is our initial proposal. The trail will run between the City of Coachella and the Salton Sea, and will integrate with the planned College of the Desert East Campus.

CVCTA's planning work will build upon the existing Riverside County Regional Trails Plan. The County's regional trails plans for the eastern and western Coachella Valley are provided here.
